Data Acquisition Systems

Data acquisition (DAQ) is the process of measuring an electrical or physical phenomenon such as voltage, current or sound with a computer.

A DAQ system consists of sensors/transducers, measurement hardware and then some kind of computer. The piece of hardware that takes the data in from the transducers in called the front-end.

DAQs and front ends come in many different guises. We can supply fully installed, bespoke data acquisition systems, handheld devices that give you full mobility and simple front end that enables you to plug your microphone or accelerometer straight into a computer.

  • Capture precise data from microphones, accelerometers and other transducers using reliable front-end hardware
  • Choose from handheld, plug-and-play, or fully installed DAQ systems tailored to your application
  • Ideal for lab, field or mobile use with flexible options for noise, vibration and environmental monitoring

Aerospace & Defence

All industry applications bring their own challenges, but aerospace and defence testing can be one of the harshest, pushing transducers and measurement systems to their limits.

Electroacoustics

We have many options to help ensure that we can work with you to put together a system to test your product in real world conditions.

Automotive

Whether you work in NVH or are part of the drivetrain testing, chassis testing or transmission teams, AcSoft have ultimate solutions for noise, vibration, harshness and sound quality measurement.

R&D and Production

Centralising data collation and analysis across multiple production sites is also possible as expectation of remote access to acquisition systems becomes the norm

A Deep Dive into Scan&Paint 2D

April 15, 2026

NVH Engineers face acoustic challenges every day. This could be troubleshooting noise, optimising products or improving soundproofing. Identifying the true source of unwanted sound is rarely straightforward. Traditional acoustic measurements can tell you how loud something is, but they often struggle to clearly show where the noise is coming from.…
