Headphones are everywhere these days for music on the go, or watching videos on the tablet. Either wired, or with wireless Bluetooth connection, headphones and earbuds hide a lot of complex technology, such as noise reduction algorithms, hearing protection limiters and different audio codecs for different applications.
All these have to be tested, either in product development, or in production. Working with world-leading manufacturers, we can build a test system for all parameters, not only for objective parameters such as frequency response and distortion, but also perceptual distortion using ear simulators.
As well as headphones, headsets are now widespread, and the quality will impact heavily on your Zoom or Teams meeting. The headset microphones must also be characterised, using mouth simulators, to ensure your message is heard loud and clear at the other end.
