    Sales Engineer

    We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sales Engineer to join our team, collaborating closely with our senior applications engineer.

    • The ideal candidate is driven by a desire to succeed
    • Understands the reason for giving the best customer service in every interaction
    • Has good knowledge of CRM, especially in Salesforce
    • Can show a history of high performance against Sales KPIs in previous roles
    • Can use all forms of modern communication techniques to create relationships with new prospects to help grow an area
    • The ability to present products and services to all levels of engineers and peers

    Business Development Executive

    Key objectives in the role

    The business development department is a key growth area for the business. It’s vital that we are proactive in making appointments and creating relationships with our audience so that we stay ahead of our competition. The results from this department significantly impact the overall performance of the business, making it a crucial part of the company.

    You will be responsible for the following key objectives in your role.

    • Booking appointments with new prospects and introducing our business and services to them. This includes qualification meetings that you will organise and host before passing quality leads and meetings over to field managers.
    • Booking appointments with existing customers and creating new relationships within these organisations. Both existing and new meetings have key performance indicators that you will be working towards.
    • Managing your own sales pipeline to the business’ structured sales process, responding to customers in a fast and efficient manor, maximising the potential in your pipeline. We have a 4-hour max contact time, and a process that must be followed for sales follow up.
    • Supporting sales field mangers with generating quotations and helping the team reach their objectives. This will include quoting for your team, chasing up opportunities and liaising with customers.
    • We have a strong focus on telephone conversations as a primary method of communication. You will have key performance indicators on the quality of your calls and the amount of calls in a day. This will be agreed with your line manager.
    • Visit customers on site with the field team to help build strong relationships.
    • As a small business you will be asked to cover team members in times of absence and help around the office. We also have a fantastic culture of team spirit and so it’s important that you can work well in a team.
    • Some travel may be required to attend sales conferences and exhibitions as well as visiting customers with the field sales team (all costs covered by the company)


    Qualifications and Experience

    • Proven experience in a proactive business development role with evidence of meeting and exceeding objectives for 3+ years
    • Preferably have experience selling an engineering, instrumentation-based product or service.
    • Minimum of GRADE 4 GSCE in English, Science and Maths
    • Degree in Science or Business Led Subjects will have an advantage
    • Experience using customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce and can show an understanding of the benefits of such system.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office – Word – Excel – PowerPoint – Outlook.
    • Attention to detail as this role will be working with mass data and processes.
