With the Ability to connect to 2 971A meters simultaneously, you can double your monitoring speed. This esnures that you’re completing your jobs efficiently.
The app also provides instant results in the form of tables, plots and spectrum views, which you can use to get quick spot checks on areas before creating a full report. For advanced post-processing, projects can be easily downloaded to the SvanPC++ Building Acoustic Software.

Assistant Pro
Assistant Pro, while offering similar benefits to the BA App, is its own unique software that is a versatile companion for any acoustic consultant.
It offers detailed guidance for various measurements, including Airborne, Facade, tapping machine, rubber ball, STIPA, and ambient noise, improving your projects with photos and descriptions.
Like the BA App, it offers Bluetooth connection to simultaneous sound level meters, automatically configuring settings for dual point measurements.
Assistant Pro also generates printable sound insulation reports in Microsoft Excel format, viewable and emailable directly from the app.
These features make Assistant Pro a fantastic companion which will greatly enhance the way that you’re doing your building Acoustic measurements.
But what is the difference?
The Building Acoustics App (BA App) focuses on guiding users through sound insulation measurements in accordance with ISO 16283, offering features like dual sound level meter management, instant result displays, and one-click ISO 16283 reporting. Essentially it offers useful reporting for building acoustic jobs, while providing general assistance and guidance on procedures and measurements.
On the other hand, Assistant Pro enhances the measurement process by providing comprehensive guidance on various acoustic measurements (e.g., Airborne, Facade, STIPA). While also providing Bluetooth connectivity to both meters (like The BA App) it also allows you to add photos and descriptions to your measurement reports.
In a nutshell, the BA App excels in efficient measurement and reporting, while Assistant Pro offers a more versatile and enriched measurement experience.
Which one is for me?
You may be wondering, which app is best for me? The answer is simple… Both!
The 2 apps are free and fully compatible with the 971A sound level meter. This means that you’ll have everything you need to efficiently create detailed reports on the fly.
