AcSoft Announce Self Insurance Policy for Hire Equipment

We understand our customers require flexible and cost effective options for insuring hire equipment. To meet those needs, we are introducing a self-insurance policy for our hire equipment for just £25 per week per instrument.

The core purpose of the self-insurance policy is to protect against theft of hire equipment and to cover damages to hire equipment during use.

That being said, we always advise on the following measures as standard with any hire to help mitigate the risks associated with theft and damage:

  • GPS Tracking: all hire equipment must have GPS tracking enabled at all times, as it ensures we can locate the equipment in case of theft
  • Locks and securing equipment: we will provide locks for securing the equipment
  • Secure storage: when not in use, equipment should be stored in a secure locked location
  • Proper handling: we ask that all customers should follow the operating guidelines we provide
  • Protecting on site: on sites, equipment should be stored in areas away from heavy machinery when not in use to avoid accidental damage
