Svantek UK Ltd is the UK subsidiary of Svantek in Poland, a world leading manufacturer of noise and vibration monitoring instrumentation.

The company was formed in January 2011 as a joint venture between Svantek and AcSoft Ltd, the company that previously distributed Svantek’s products in the UK. Svantek are a world leading manufacturer of noise and vibration monitoring instrumentation. Formed in 1990, they boast one of the best qualified and most innovative teams of design engineers in the market. Their range of noise and vibration monitors is second to none with both quality and technical excellence being at the core of the company’s philosophy.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Paul has extensive experience in the health, safety and environmental technology marketplaces across Europe, Asia and the Americas, and spent over ten years as Managing Director of one of the world’s most successful health, safety and environmental monitoring instrumentation companies.

He specialises in helping businesses grow into exciting new areas and has a proven track record in helping European-based businesses expand internationally and American and Asian businesses grow within Europe.

Paul also has wide-ranging experience of working with the UK government, having led an environmental trade mission for UK trade and investment to Taiwan in 2007 and the first of a new series of trade missions to China initiated by the Prime Minister in 2008. He also chaired an international working group for the Environmental Industry Commission (EIC). In 2006, Paul was a guest at Buckingham Palace at a reception for members of the UK scientific community.

He holds an honours degree in physics, an HND in electronics and a diploma in mathematics.

CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER

Aidan joined Svantek UK in early 2016 when we moved to our new offices near Bedford and brings significant commercial experience to this sales position.

Aidan spent 11 years in a variety of roles with leading power tools supplier, Cooks of Bedford, including E-Commerce Manager where he was responsible for eight members of staff, and helped the department grow to become 50% of the company’s total turnover.

“Aidan has all the credentials we require in a Sales Director and will strengthen Svantek & AcSoft’s presence in their main target markets,” he concludes.

John Shelton

CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER

John Shelton holds an Honours degree in Acoustical Engineering, and a Masters degree in Sound & Vibration Studies, from ISVR in Southampton.

After a short time developing loudspeakers at Goodmans, he joined Bruel & Kjaer UK as an area sales engineer. Over the nine years that followed, he specialised in sound intensity and source location techniques, as well as managing technical sales across the UK.

Two years at Brüel & Kjær in Denmark gave him experience in VXI-based virtual instrumentation, and whetted his appetite for software measurement solutions, taking responsibility for worldwide sales & marketing.

Founding AcSoft in 1994, with many international contacts becoming suppliers and friends, the company has now developed to become one of the leading players in the UK noise & vibration instrumentation market.

A sister company, Svantek UK, was also formed in 2011 to expand the market for this high-quality range of hand-held instruments

John is an active member of the Institute of Acoustics and sits on several national committees and working groups on measurement & instrumentation.

A keen racing dinghy sailor, John has won several National & European titles on the water and is also a keen flat-earth audiophile.

SENIOR APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

George joins Svantek UK from a previous role as an Acoustic Engineer, where he built up extensive industry knowledge in acoustics design, engineering and contracting.

His role will focus on developing sales within the south east.

“Svantek is changing the market in sound and vibration and I’m extremely excited to be part of the team working alongside some fantastic colleagues” comments George.

Aaron Priestley

SALES SPECIALIST

Aaron joins Svantek UK from testing, inspection and certification business, British Engineering Services, where he spent five years in a variety of sales and customer service roles, most recently as Business Development Manager.

“I feel like I am joining Svantek UK at an exciting time,” comments Aaron. “I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team and developing sales in the North.”

Having become an integral part of the Svantek UK sales team, Aaron is also responsible for developing health & safety sales in the UK.

Aaron is a big Manchester United fan, aiming to get to as many games as he can. His go to takeaway would be a Chinese, with his dishes of choice being Chilli Beef, Singapore Vermicelli and Shumai.

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Jake comes from a background that includes experience in admin, sales and estimating where he worked with high value contracts involving stonework and masonry.

After time in estimating, Jake wanted to move back into sales, joining Svantek UK in May 2024. He joins a growing sales and marketing team where he will be specialising in handheld equipment and health & safety. Jake will be spending much of his time on the road, meeting clients.

In his spare time, he has taken up golf and regularly attends the driving range. Jake is also an avid Chelsea fan.

Debra Gill

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

As a business development executive with a marketing background Debra brings experience and expertise to the team of AcSoft. Beginning her career in finance and then telecom sales, she demonstrated a talent for building strong relationships with clients. Transitioning into business development she has had a successful track record of success in creating business growth and mentoring young professionals.

In her current role as a business development executive for AcSoft she is looking forward to identifying and building new opportunities. Overall, she is results-driven, a strategic thinker who is passionate about helping companies achieve their goals. Having worked for the company before, Debra is keen to reconnect with contacts in the industry with the primary focus on supporting customers’ needs throughout.

In her spare time, Debra enjoys playing pool, going to the gym and quad roller skating.

Owen Hubbard

INTERNAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Owen is responsible for business development in the south of the UK, working with George and Jake to get them in front of customers. Having started off in a business admin role for the company, Owen is now enjoying his new role as part of the sales team.  He enjoys regularly speaking with customers about our latest products and building long lasting relationships.

Owen has achieved a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration through Bedford College.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS & SERVICES COORDINATOR

Ella originally joined AcSoft as an Office Administrator before taking time out to travel across Asia and Australia. Now back with the team, she’s taken on a new role managing contracts, calibration, and liaising with customers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

A Psychology graduate from Cardiff University, Ella knew she wanted to work in a busy, people-focused office environment. She enjoys the social side of her role, particularly speaking with customers and building strong relationships.

Outside of work, Ella enjoys a good Chinese takeaway, listening to Amy Winehouse or Arctic Monkeys, and never turns down the chance to sing Valerie at karaoke. Her drink of choice depends on the day… either a Moretti or a Monster.

Jo Hare

MARKETING MANAGER

Jo brings considerable marketing expertise to her role having worked in digital marketing within an agency and marketing with a business to business audio visual provider. Qualified with a degree in Business Management and also Google Ads certified, Jo brings the Group much needed insight and experience in many aspects of both digital and traditional marketing.

Very much a people person, Jo has also spent time in the education industry before joining the AcSoft Group as lockdown was being lifted in 2020.

In her role at AcSoft Group, Jo is responsible for coordinating marketing activities and events and generally improving and developing our online presence.

I’m delighted to have Jo on board to help grow our brand presence and get us perfectly positioned to grow even faster in 2021. As well as a proven track record in marketing, she brings enthusiasm and vibrancy to the team.”

Jacob Moss

MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Jacob joined us in early 2024, following an apprenticeship where he achieved a distinction in a level 3 digital marketing apprenticeship, with experience across a wide range of B2B marketing channels.

He is responsible for social media content, video and plenty more. With skills in graphic design and content production

Shannon Batten

Shannon Batten

FINANCE MANAGER

Shannon oversees all bookkeeping operations for AcSoft. Having worked in finance for 9 years in various roles, Shannon started her career as an apprentice at an accountancy firm before becoming fully qualified as a member of the AAT in 2016. Since then, she has gained experience in management accounting and financial reporting.

Shannon’s approach to bookkeeping and operational processing means she is a great asset to the team.

Becky Fisher

ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

Becky joined AcSoft in September as part of the finance team, bringing with her a solid foundation in accounting and business administration. Having previously worked for an online garden centre, she completed a Level 4 Finance Assistant Apprenticeship through the Association of Accounting Technicians and the University of Cambridge.

In her role, Becky is continuing to develop her financial expertise while managing the day-to-day finance operations. She enjoys learning new processes and supporting the team in keeping everything running smoothly.

Outside of work, Becky enjoys Italian food, a glass of white wine or Fanta Fruit Twist, and her favourite Disney film would be The Little Mermaid.

Joana Faia

FINANCE TRAINEE

With A Levels in Sociology, Law and Spanish, Joana has joined our growing accounts team. With a keen interest in business and law, Joana brings great organisational skills and a desire to learn and grow, encouraging new challenges.

She is starting a level 2 AAT qualification in September where she will continue her development and knowledge of accountancy.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Office Sales Manager Sarah, is responsible for the day to day running of the AcSoft & Svantek UK office. This includes processing the incoming and outgoing shipments, dealing with stock levels and more. Sarah deals with all orders once the office has received the purchase order.

You will often find Sarah dealing with suppliers, customers, couriers and customs.

Faith Cissell

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Faith joined us in February 2025, making a change from her role as a dental nurse where she also doubled as their social media executive for the clinic.

Her role consists of working closely with Sarah to help ensure customers are satisfied and equipment is managed effectively. She is the first point of contact for customers, while also preparing orders and ensuring equipment is correctly packed and delivered at the highest standard.

She enjoys the customer interactions, helping people and the positive feedback.

Her go to takeaway would be smash burgers, her favourite TV show is Dexter and her favourite artist is Chase & Status.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Fiona joined AcSoft in September and has quickly become an important part of the operations team. With a background in administration and finance, previously working as a school receptionist and finance officer at a private school, she brings valuable experience and strong organisational skills to the role.

Her day-to-day involves managing deliveries, booking couriers, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently. Fiona thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the communication and teamwork that come with keeping things moving in the office.

Outside of work, Fiona enjoys Thai food, good coffee. Her favourite show is Gilmore Girls and her favourite artist is Avril Lavigne.

Sibo Ngcobo

SERVICES MANAGER

After attending Southampton University and obtaining a degree in Audio Engineering, Sibo joined AcSoft in 2019.

Sibo is responsible for managing the tech support, hire and calibration services that AcSoft provides.

You can often find Sibo configuring systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. He also carries out comprehensive application training sessions.

Sibo regularly goes to the gym, trying to go everyday after work. He also enjoys a Nando’s where he will usually order chicken thighs, peri rice, peri fries with lots of hot sauce.

 

Rob Taylor

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER

Rob brings over 20 years experience in electronics manufacturing, product test, support and R&D to AcSoft. He is responsible for managing the tech support team in their dealing with incoming support queries across the Svantek range of kit, and administering the production, testing and deployment of the AcSoft Renew systems in larger monitoring projects.

Kai Rix

Kai Rix

TECHNICAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Kai mostly works on the renew builds and assist with calibration and repairs. Kai is more involved in the physical side like soldering, fabrication and replacing components than working with data but that’s something he is working towards with training from Sibo.

Kai is currently studying for a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering.

Will Jay

CALIBRATION LAB MANAGER

Will studied film at college and his previous experience includes working in the sound departments on film sets for Marvel, Amazon and CBS.

In his role of Calibration Lab Manager, Will works in our in house calibration lab and is responsible for the calibrating and quick turnaround of the equipment sent in.

Will is looking forward to gathering more experience in the department and becoming part of the AcSoft team!

Tom Bowen

CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN

After graduating Leicester University with a degree in music technology he worked in the events industry, prepping events and working behind the scenes to ensure that lighting and cabling were working correctly. He then decided a career change was needed, joining our calibration team in March 2024.

Tom has been working predominantly on Svantek equipment, specifically gaining a lot of experience with the SV 307A.

Tom says that the working environment has been a great change of pace from previous roles, enjoying the better flexibility and being able to work in a very ‘hands on’ role. He is also excited by the progressiveness of the business and the rapid growth that is happening here.

Tom is a big football and Manchester United fan, but also enjoys supporting his local team, St Albans in which he is a season ticket holder.
