What are VC Curves?

VC Curves, or Vibration Criterion Curves, are used to define acceptable vibration levels for sensitive buildings, equipment, and spaces.

Instead of focusing on damage, they focus on performance — particularly where even very small vibrations can cause problems. VC Curves are based on vibration velocity, measured across frequency bands, and are commonly applied in environments like laboratories, hospitals, cleanrooms, and precision manufacturing facilities.
