• Plays STIPA test signals according to IEC-60268-16 rev. 4 (2011) and rev. 5 (2020)
• Plays Full STI signal
• Plays noise (pink, white), sine waves (125 – 8000 Hz) and sweeps
• Plays back user defined signals. Simply upload audio files via USB, the talkbox will calibrate them.
• Also plays back calibrated speech signals, to announce the beginning and end of tests and to obtain a subjective impression of speech intelligibility while testing (male and female speech, US, UK, SP, FR, GE, NL).
• Signals are played back with automatically calibrated spectrum and level (no user calibration needed – optional adjustment of nominal level).
• Can also be used as an electronic signal source through the featured line-out XLR.
• Has an input XLR that can be used as a line-in (calibrated on the fly) or to connect a phantom-powered microphone (such as the BAMT1) for user calibration of the device.
• Can be calibrated by the user to alternative reference planes, distances and angles.
• Includes a laser distance meter for accurate microphone placement. The SPL at the location of the laser dot is automatically calculated (based on the selected SPL setting at 1m and the measured distance)
• Triple capacitive touch displays (front and back) allow easy access to controls in any setup and situation.

• Loudspeaker frequency range 20 – 16,000 Hz; flat response within +/- 1 dB between 80 Hz and 16 kHz
• Plays back signal at a standardized (calibrated) signal levels of 54-72 dB(A) @ 1m
• Signal level can be increased/decreased relative to nominal level to test dynamics
• Powered through external power supply (included) or USB-C power supply
• Line-in is calibrated for a flat frequency transfer, output is adjusted to the selected output SPL through a slow-acting automatic gain control (AGC) algorithm
• Includes 4800 mAh internal NiMH battery pack for approx. 4 hours of operation without external power.
