Battery Runtime Calculator

When considering using an external battery to power selected instrumentation, this calculator can provide an estimated run time based on the manufacturer’s published power consumption data. This will enable users to schedule swapping of batteries when close to the point where they become discharged, reducing interruptions to monitoring.

How to Use the Calculator:

Enter the Ampere hour (Ah) rating and Voltage (V) of your external battery into the boxes before selecting an instrument from the list via the ‘Select Device’ dropdown.

Where applicable, various modes of operation are also shown against each device.

Finally, press the ‘Calculate Runtime’ button to see how long you can expect the specified battery to be able to power the instrument for.

Please note: Figures provided by this calculator represent a ‘best case’ of run time before the selected battery should be replaced. Factors such ambient temperature, humidity, battery age, and cabling used can affect the ‘real world’ runtime achieved.
